LOCOROTONDO
Other enchanting town of the Valle d’Itria is Locorotondo, which name makes to understand how it will appear. Locorotondo owes its name to the configuration assumed by the first inhabited center, that adjusting itself to the form of the hill harmoniously became of round aspect. Particularities of Locorotondo are the cummerses, sloping roofs of the historical center, done in chianche, stones of which the subsoil is rich. This use of construction doesn't belong to the tradition of Puglia. The enchanting small streets of the historical center of Locorotondo, of white walls of mortar and from the balconies in beaten iron, are the reasons for recognition of the city to be among " The most beautiful Suburbs in Italy." This represents the umpteenth confirmation of the wonder of the valley of the trullis.
